Activision Confirms New Call of Duty Game in 2012

During its 4th Quarter earnings call today, Activision confirmed that a new Call of Duty game will be coming in 2012. This comes as no surprise since the franchise has seen new titles annually and Modern Warfare 3 has made over a billion dollars . Still, this marks the first time that Activision has plainly stated that a new Call of Duty game will be released this year.

AA sat-nav car insurance policy

Microsoft backs Apple patent view

App makers’ address-book apology

9 February 2012 Last updated at 10:13 ET The makers of two iPhone apps have apologised after it emerged they had uploaded users address-book information without explicit permission. Path and Hipster both sent contact data to company servers in order to help users find friends who were also using the apps. Both companies said they had now updated their apps to fix the problem.

Ofcom targets switching slammers

9 February 2012 Last updated at 08:59 ET Landline phone and internet providers which switch customers to their service without their consent – a process known as “slamming” – are being targeted by Ofcom. The telecoms regulator says that an estimated 520,000 UK households were “slammed” last year.

Bethesda Shows Skyrim DLC Ideas

During his keynote at the DICE 2012 games industry convention in Las Vegas, Bethesda’s creative director Todd Howard showed a sizzle-reel containing various ideas his team have put forward for the future of the game. The ideas had come from a company-wide creative session at the end of last year called Game Jam.
